7 Fitness Tips to Avoid


Keeping fit is an important aspect of staying healthy. Many people all over the world are struggling to keep fit and shape. It is not an easy task. It requires a lot of discipline and determination. Lazy people cannot realize their goals of staying fit. In this article, you will find seven things to avoid when struggling to keep fit and healthy.

Never exercise without a goal

What exactly do want? At the end of 2 weeks where do you want to be? Don’t even think of going to the gym if you don’t know what you want.  You should have an aim when you go to the gym. If you don’t have an aim you will soon give up and stop going to the gym. Your goals however should be realistic and achievable. For you to check your progress, you will need to set for yourself a time frame within which your sub goals should be achieved.

As one desire to shake off fats and remain fit, they need to set goals for themselves that are realistic and within their reach. Do not be too ambitious when setting such goals. Setting goals that are realistic will ensure that you cut down weight in a way that is friendly to you and healthy. Be patient with your goals and don’t be in haste.

Do not put on anything

Don’t just wear clothes because you feel like doing so. Let the clothes that you wear make comfortable and at ease. Putting on the right attire will also minimize the chances of you being injured.

Do not leave behind your water bottle

Let your body stay hydrated. Take plenty of water and fresh juices. Instead of taking drinks that are aerated and canned take fresh juices and plenty of water. Your body will be left hydrated and can thus work optimally. Water also does detoxification to the system. It also has 0 calories and thus not harmful to your health.

Do not avoid Rest

We cannot stress the importance of having enough rest. Exercising and eating well are not enough. Having enough rest will help you to keep fit. An overworked day should imply that you get a proper rest at the night. Having proper rest refreshes one and makes you prepared for the tasks of the following day

Avoid eating Junky Foods

Keep off junky foods because they are not healthy. Avoid using foods that are fried and junky. Also keep off foods that are processed or canned. This is because such foods have high contents of calorie and sugar.

Do not overwork your body

The gym won’t go away. It will be there tomorrow. If you feel that you are worked out, call it a day and continue the following day. Good exercise should not injure your body or make you overworked.

Do not….not keep records

From the start of the workout session, note down your progress and what you are doing. Taking pictures of the body is also good. Compare and contrast results for the past months and weeks so as to monitor your progress. This will help you evaluate your progress and judge whether you are in the correct direction.
